Senior management, employment and financial matters are handled by the General Manager and Supervisor of the School. The Supervisor has ultimate decision-making powers over all school matters.
The day-to-day running of the school including coordination of class curriculums and after-school clubs is handled by the Vice-Principal and Principal.
All educational matters within the classroom including class curriculums are handled by the class teacher.
James Lambert is a British citizen, born in Liverpool. He gained a Masters in Science before moving into education. He has worked at L.I.S. since 2001 as an upper primary teacher. He was appointed Vice-Principal in 2012, and the Principal of L.I.S. in July 2020.
Nadia Jonck is a South African citizen and South Lantau resident. She gained a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Organisational Psychology and worked in Skills Development before moving to Hong Kong in 2016. She holds a PGCE and is very passionate about early childhood education.
Teddy Sun is a graduate of Master of Arts in Teaching Chinese as an International Language, holds the certification of Putonghua Proficiency Test (by Ministry of Education of the PRC) and LPAT(by HKEAA and EDB).He has been teaching Chinese in Hong Kong for the past 8 years.
Suzanne Lambert is a British citizen. She graduated in 2000 from Didsbury School of Education with a PGCE. She joined LIS in 2002.
Hayley Peluchette is an American citizen and Lantau resident. She holds a Master of Education from the University of San Diego with a focus on literacy and curriculum development. Hayley has been teaching international primary students in Hong Kong for the past 8 years, and is also a certified kids yoga teacher. She is excited to join to the L.I.S. community.
Ms. Sinead Morrissey is an Irish citizen, holding a Bachelor of Education in 2012. She has worked in primary schools in Dublin before moving to Taiwan to teach English, then moving to Hong Kong and teaching in kindergarten and Primary for 5 years. She is looking forward to join the team at L.I.S. and meeting her new class.
Mr. Adam Mizban is a British citizen who holds a PGCE from The Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. He was a Year 2 and Year 3 Teacher in Manchester before moving to China, then Hong Kong as a NET teacher.
Karen Sargent is an American Citizen, born in Maryland. She gained her degree in Communications before moving to Hong Kong. She received her Post-Graduate Degree in Education with a focus on Early Childhood from the University of Hong Kong. Karen has been teaching young learners at international schools in Hong Kong for the past 8 years. She joined LIS in August 2020.
Anna Yu is a British Citizen. She holds a PGCE from the University of Sunderland (UK) as well as a degree in Bsc Surveying from Birmingham University, UK. Anna is also a keen musician who obtained a merit in her ABRSM Grade 8 violin.
Ruby Bhatia has a Bachelor of Engineering from MNIT Jaipur, India as well as a PGCE from the University of Hong Kong. She began her teaching career at LIS in 2006 and is now the Vice-Principal of Upper Campus where she will also be in charge of assessments and testing. Ruby has taught several primary classes over the years and thoroughly enjoys the different experience each one brings.
Jeanny Tse holds a BEd from HKCAAVQ. She is also a graduate of the College of Foreign Languages Fujian Normal University (Fujian Province, China).
Mavis Choi is a Hong Kong citizen with a Master of Arts in Languages from a US University.
Lilibeth Wood is a Filipino citizen who has lived in Hong Kong since 2013. Lilibeth completed an Introduction to TESOL teaching qualification in 2021 and has a great enthusiasm for teaching and working with children. In her spare time Lilibeth enjoys travelling and socialising with friends at the beach.
